61 ct. Brazilian Amethyst and 22kty Quetzal Feather Ring Mounting

Custom ring mounting to set a 61 ct. oval Brazilian Amethyst.  During one of our Gemstone Round Table Events, a client purchased this FABULOUS, evenly saturated purple with red flash Brazilian amethyst.  The amethyst looks big, and it is big!  During a trip to Mexico, I was inspired by the beautiful quetzal bird.  I designed the ring covered with the feather pattern.  There are no prongs, the feather tips are acting as prongs.  I love the contrast of purple with a rich yellow so we used 22kt for extra grandeur.
