Calabria Taras Greek Coin & Custom 18kt Frame Pendant

Taras, the son of Poseidon, the patron deity of Tarentum is shown here, facing left, astride on a dolphin holding a shield and a trident. The shield depicts a hippocamp and below Taras is a murex shell. The genuine ancient Greek coin is a didrachm and dated 325 - 281 B.C. The reverse shows a nude warrior on horseback holding a shield and 2 spears, facing right. We designed the 18kt frame with dolphins and a seashell at the top serves as the bail. The frame is further decorated with tiny balls next to the high polish frame.  The coin is set with an open back for the viewing of the reverse of the coin. A truly work of art!
