Euboia Coin Ring

The coin on this ring is from the island of Euboia, off the eastern coast of Greece. The nymph Hystaia is featured Hystaia was a water nymph. The spring that the locals believed that she inhabited was so important to the community that they named the town after her. Since Euboia is an island, shipping was extremely important.
