Jointly known as the Dioscuri (sons of Zeus), Castor and Pollux were twin brothers born from one egg but separate fathers. Castor was the son of Zeus and immortal while Pollux was the mortal son of the king of Sparta. Their sisters, also born in one egg were Helen and Clytemnestra, both of Trojan War fame.
Castor and Pollux are the constellation Gemini. They are the patron saints of sailors.
