Kyme Coin Pendant
The City of Kyme in Aeolis, an Ionic province in the western part of what is modern-day Turkey, was named after the Amazon, Kyme. The Amazons were a nation of women-warriors who mated with men only to produce offspring, presumably only keeping the female children. They were fierce and capable warriors. According to Homer they fought on the side of the Trojans during the long Trojans war.
