Sterling Silver Burro With Wood Charm-Donkeys or Burros, as they are known in Spanish, played an important role in the settlement of New Mexico, such as carrying firewood and other supplies to local markets. Burros can have a calming influence on other animals. They are social and form strong bonds - you will often see pairs of best friends within a herd.

In Santa Fe, New Mexico, a few blocks off the Plaza, there is a bronze statue of a burro with firewood, and it's located, you guessed it, on Burro Alley. The statue was the inspiration of this charm! Quote from Eeyore, Winnie the Pooh's friend: “Thanks for noticin’ me.”
