Fetishes are a Native American art form used by many tribes but most significantly the Zuni. Fetish carvings are believed to hold magical powers and protect the owner or craftsmen from various problems of mind or body. Animals are sometimes depicted with bundles of shells, stones, arrowheads, feathers and other symbolic elements. These bundles are offerings that the animal spirit will carry to the gods on behalf of the owner of the fetish.  A chain runs through the two holes, no bail required!  (Chain not included.)
Hand cast, polished and antiqued
